The West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA) will host a meeting of various agricultural groups to gauge interest in establishing a state chapter of the American Agri-Women national organization.
The meeting will be held in the West Virginia University Ag Sciences Building, Room 1001, at 1 p.m., October 27. This meeting is open to the public.
American Agri-Women was founded in 1974. It is made up of state and commodity affiliate organizations, as well as individual members throughout the country. The group is involved in legislative and regulatory matters at the local, state, and national levels, and has been instrumental in student and consumer education about agriculture.
