DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE SEEKING EQUINE INFORMATION

The West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA) is seeking new and updated information for two equine-related publications, the "West Virginia Equine Industry Directory” and the 2009 “Equine Events” listing.

The Directory includes listings for a huge variety of equine services, from farriers to show judges. The Equine Events booklet is the definitive listing of horse events throughout West Virginia.

To submit information, contact WVDA Equine Specialist Dave Hannon at 304-558-2210 or dhannon@ag.state.wv.us.

The West Virginia Department of Agriculture protects plant, animal and human health through a variety of scientific, regulatory and consumer protection programs, as mandated by state law. The Commissioner of Agriculture is one of six statewide elected officials in West Virginia. Currently, Commissioner Gus R. Douglass is the longest-serving agriculture commissioner in the nation. For more information, visit www.wvagriculture.org.
