FOURTH ANNUAL FARM FIELD DAY TO BE HELD AT MOUNTAIN DIAMOND LONGHORNS
FARM
A farm field day will be held at Mountain Diamond Longhorns Farm
in Tunnelton, Preston County. The event is being hosted by farm
owner Dave Miller, and will take place Saturday, September 25, 2004,
from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Presentations will include the state's new premise/farm identification
system by State Veterinarian Joe Starcher and information on farmland
preservation issues by Lavonne Paden. The event is free and open
to the public.
Expected highlights will be a demonstration of Miller's livestock
including "Woody," the tame longhorn steer, cattle and
equine activities and, of course, a farm-fresh lunch.
