PHILIP K. PETRY PROMOTED TO ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF THE WVDA'S
MOOREFIELD LABORATORY COMPLEX
West Virginia Commissioner of Agriculture Gus R. Douglass announced
the promotion of Philip K. Petry to Assistant Director of the Regulatory
and Environmental Affairs Section of the West Virginia Department
of Agricultures Moorefield Laboratory Complex in Moorefield,
W.Va.
Phil has a Bachelor of Science Degree in agriculture and
biology. His course studies included ecology, environmental science
and chemistry. An employee with the Department for 28 years, Phil
began his career as a regulatory officer covering the Eastern Panhandle
of West Virginia. He was promoted to regulatory officer supervisor
in 1997, said Commissioner Douglass. His vast knowledge
of the Department and the Regulatory and Environmental Affairs Division
will be a great asset to the Department of Agriculture in this position,
and to the people served by this Agency.
Commissioner Douglass concluded, I am always pleased to be
able to recognize qualified, hard-working employees with these opportunities
when they arise. Phils analytical ability and familiarity
with the area and programs will bring even more stability to our
programs.
