Charleston, WV Shoppers looking for the perfect
gift this holiday season are invited to the Shepherds Holiday
Showcase at the Charleston Marriott Hotel, Saturday, December 8,
2001, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Not only will visitors get to see and buy handmade art and
crafts made with West Virginia wool, they will also get to see how
these beautiful items are made, said Tom McConnell, Farm Management
Specialist for West Virginia Universitys Extension Service.
You'll be able to try your hand at spinning wool and taste
delicious meals made with lamb. Were also shearing sheep at
10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. This is a great opportunity for young
people to see how agriculture supplies the clothes we wear.
