POCAHONTAS PRODUCERS LIVESTOCK AUCTION MARKET PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED

For Immediate Release May 17, 2001

CHARLESTON, WV — Commissioner of Agriculture Gus R. Douglass announced that a public hearing has been scheduled for July 16, 2001, to receive comments concerning a request by the Pocahontas Producers Co-Op located in Marlinton, WV. The subject of the hearing will be to change the Co-Op’s sale day from Tuesday to Saturday, with the exception of the first Saturday of each month.

The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the West Virginia Department of Agriculture’s (WVDA) Guthrie Agriculture Center near Sissonville, in Building 2, Room 202.

If you would like to comment about this request, you may appear in person at the hearing or write to Commissioner Gus R. Douglass, WVDA, 1900 Kanawha Blvd., E., Charleston, WV, 25305, by July 16, 2001.
