LIVESTOCK AUCTION MARKET PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED

CHARLESTON, W.VA. - Agriculture Commissioner Gus R. Douglass announced that a public hearing has been scheduled for April 25, 2000, to receive comments on the issuance of an operating permit for the Greenbrier Valley Livestock Market located in Caldwell, WV. The Market is currently in operation, (Lewisburg Livestock Market) but the West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA) has received an application for a change of the Market's name and ownership to Mr. W. Dean Hanson and Mr. William C. Morgan. Mr. John Yates is the current owner.

The hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the WVDA's Guthrie Agriculture Center near Sissonville, WV, in Building 2, Room 202.

If you would like to comment about the issuance of this permit, you may appear in person at the hearing or write to Commissioner Douglass, WVDA, 1900 Kanawha Blvd., E., Charleston, WV 25305, on or before April 5, 2000.
