ARTICLE V: MEETINGS Section 1: An annual meeting of the Hall of Fame shall be held each year during the month of April. The board of directors shall choose the location, date, and time for the meeting at least two months in advance and the secretary shall notify the membership accordingly . Section 2: At each meeting of the Hall of Fame, the order of business shall be as follows, subject to amendment by the membership by majority vote at each meeting: a) Reading and approval of minutes Section 3: An awards/recognition banquet shall be held annually on a Friday or Saturday in July to provide appropriate recognition for the new enshrinees, to provide an opportunity for all members of the Hall of Fame to become acquainted with the new enshrinees, and for general fellowship of the members. Section 4: A meeting of the membership will be held in August at the State Fair of West Virginia for the purpose of a) hearing interim reports of standing and/or ad hoc committees, as requested by the president; b) providing an open forum for discussion of issues believed to be important by the board or any member of the organization; and c) making recommendations for further consideration by the board or the membership at the next annual meeting. Section 5: Special meetings of the Hall of Fame may be called upon request of the board of directors or the president, provided written notice of such special meeting is provided to the membership not less than ten days prior to the meeting. Section 6: The quorum for any meeting of the Hall of Fame shall consist of those members who attend the meeting. |
