Enshrinement in the West Virginia Agriculture and Forestry Hall of Fame is granted only to those individuals, businesses, organizations, institutions and foundations who have helped make this Nation great through outstanding contributions to the establishment, development, advancement or improvement of the agricultural, forestry and/or family life of West Virginia.
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION
Please provide a resume, curriculum vitae or other documents that describe the nominee’s involvement in the success of West Virginia agriculture, forestry and/or family life. If such documents are not available, or they do not significantly explain the nature of the outstanding service, please provide a narrative description of those contributions. Such documentation should contain information regarding the nominees:
1) Service to the industry.
2) Industry related organization(s), any leadership role in those organizations, and dates of
involvement,
3) Awards, honors or citations
4) Community activities
5) Other accomplishments that would qualify this nominee for enshrinement in the West
Virginia Agriculture and Forestry Hall of Fame.
Please be as brief as possible in your descriptions. Number of pages is NOT a criterion that is considered. Application shall be no more than 10 typewritten, double-spaced pages (10 point type or larger).
In addition, you may attach up to three letters of support if they provide significant information not included elsewhere in the supporting documentation
Applications of more than ten pages and/or more than three letters of support or otherwise unacceptable will be returned to the nominator for revision if time before the deadline permits, otherwise they will not be considered
The nominee must have lived in the territory which is now West Virginia and demonstrated leadership in regional, state, national and/or international matters pertaining to the success of agriculture, forestry and/or family life to be eligible for enshrinement in the West Virginia Agriculture and Forestry Hall of Fame.
The Recognition Committee considers only the information provided in this application and its supporting documentation.
The final deadline for consideration is January 20, 2009. Due to the time it takes for processing, We would prefer to have them earlier.
