14. Tobacco Use

14.1. The purpose of this policy is to encourage a healthy workplace environment. Employees violating this policy are subject to disciplinary action.

14.2. This policy covers the use of cigarettes, cigars and pipes, chewing tobacco, snuff and any other tobacco product.

14.3. All employees, customers, and visitors are expected to comply with the provisions of this policy.

14.4. Tobacco use is prohibited in all state buildings and vehicles. Tobacco use is permitted only outside in designated areas.

14.5. Copies of this policy will be distributed to all employees.

14.6. Signs will be posted to designate areas where smoking is allowed.

14.7. Refuse containers will be available and must be used in appropriate smoking areas.
